There are 31 billion Google searches a month. In 2006 there 2.7 billion searches.

I was very amazed by this particular fact. I never knew there were this many searches a month. I know my family and I use Google quite a bit. It would take me all day to list all the different things I use Google for, but I’ll add few. My parents constantly use Google for their work. I use Google as a resource for school to find information, and we also use it for tons of personal reasons. Technology, Google, in this case, plays a great role in my life because of all the times I use Google for school and information.

The first text was sent in December of 1992. Today, the number of text messages sent and received every day, exceeds the population of the planet.

I think this fact is unbelievable. I know that my friends and I text frequently, and we rarely talk on the phone. It’s a good way to talk to my friends when I’m not with them without having to call them. I also know that texting can become dangerous when it comes to texting and driving, so we must be responsible. The technology of texting has become apart of my life because of how frequently I use it. I also tend to use it more because I prefer it over talking on the phone.

Digital music sales in 2011 outstripped physical sales for the first time ever.

This fact actually did not surprise me. I rarely buy a CD from a store. I have noticed that there is less and less CD selection because of how popular digital music is. I find that websites like ITunes is much more convenient. You can just buy one song, instead of paying almost fifteen dollars for an entire album. You also don’t have to carry a CD around. I love this invention because the access to music is so much easier.
